We’ve put together a simple timeline to help you stay organised and avoid last-minute stress.

📦 6 Weeks Before

  • Take stock of everything you need to move
  • Start decluttering — sell, donate or dump what you don’t need
  • Create a rough moving plan (dates, help, vehicle size)
  • Begin collecting boxes and packing materials
  • Lock in time off work if needed 

🏠 3 Weeks Before​

  • Update your address with banks, subscriptions, and services
  • Redirect your mail with Australia Post
  • Book cleaners if required
  • Start packing non-essential items
  • Confirm moving help (mates or professionals)

🚚 2 Weeks Before​

  • Book your moving truck or van
  • Plan your moving route and access points
  • Pack room by room to stay organised
  • Label boxes clearly (makes unpacking easier)
  • Organise moving equipment (trolley, straps, blankets)

⏳ 1 Week Before​

  • Confirm your booking and pickup time
  • Pack essentials separately (first night box)
  • Disassemble furniture if needed
  • Clean out fridge and pantry
  • Finalise packing
